Teaching Young Golfers

first_imgA lot of my golfing friends have indicated that the number of golfers and the condition of golf courses has dropped in recent years.  How do we get young athletes to play golf?  I think the answer is Junior Golf Camps.I believe these camps should be available at all types of golf courses whether they be private or public. The price should be reasonable so that we do not eliminate young people who may not be able to afford fancy camps. The camp should include 2 distinct parts.  One part of the camp should teach the skills required to play the game, and part two should be the etiquette of playing golf.  This would include what to wear, how to act, and proper care of the fairways and greens after taking a shot.  Like any sport–the younger you begin the more likely they will enjoy the experience.last_img
